Openings at Tolton Catholic High School
Tolton Catholic High School is a fully accredited college preparatory Catholic High School located in Columbia, MO. By teaching respect for the dignity of every human person, we facilitate the growth of the whole student: spirit, heart, mind, and body. The school offers a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum designed to ready students for college and post-secondary success. In preparing our students for the 21st Century, our teachers provide ample investigative opportunities for students, to enhance their critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaborative, and information literacy skills.

Tolton Catholic has the following position available for the 2024-25 school year:
- Substitute Teachers
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for and supervise students in assigned class
- Communicate the lesson plan left by the teacher to student
- Manage classroom and keep students on task
- Utilizes technology to access lesson plans and take attendance
- Demonstrates support for the mission of Fr. Tolton Catholic High School by attitude, words, actions, and integrity
- Assists in maintaining discipline by enforcing the expectations in the Student Handbook
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- State teaching licensure/certificate is preferred but not a hiring prerequisite
- Understands the high school education culture and is able to interact professionally with students, faculty, and parents
- Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations
- Preferred: Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, docs, sheets, etc), Google Classroom, and RenWeb/FACTS is preferred
Physical Demands and other requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
- Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise and activity
- Required to maintain composure and to communicate appropriately in words and actions
