Tuition and Affordability

2027–2028 School Year
A Father Tolton Catholic High School education is an investment in much more than academics. Our students are challenged to grow in Spirit, Heart, Mind, and Body as they prepare for college, discover their God given gifts, and blaze the unique trail God has prepared for them.

Our Tuition Model
Tuition helps support this mission, but it does not cover the full cost of a Tolton education. Like Catholic schools across the country, we rely on the generosity of benefactors, alumni, parishes, businesses, and community partners who believe in our mission. Their support helps bridge the gap between tuition and the true cost of providing an exceptional Catholic, college preparatory education.

Current School Year Tuition:

  • Registered and Active Catholic Families: $10,269
  • All Other Students: $12,805
  • International Students: $18,652

Every student’s tuition supports an exceptional educational experience that includes dedicated faculty, faith formation, retreats, athletics, fine arts, student activities, leadership opportunities, and a Christ centered community that prepares students for life after high school.

Tuition Assistance:
We are committed to making a Tolton education accessible to families who seek it. If affordability is a concern, we encourage you to begin with Step 1: Financial Aid below. Additional scholarships and our Summer Work Study Program provide optional opportunities for families who may need further assistance.

Only admitted students and currently enrolled students completing re enrollment are eligible to apply for tuition assistance.

Please note: Application links become available on the day each application period opens.

The Affordability Process:
If your family needs tuition assistance, begin with

After the Priority Deadline:
Applications are still accepted; however, awards are based on remaining available funds and decisions may take longer to process.

For assistance, contact FACTS at 1-866-315-9262 or call Tolton at 573-445-7700.

Step 2: Scholarships (Optional)

Students who have applied for financial aid through FACTS may apply for donor-funded scholarships if additional assistance is needed.

Important Dates:

  • Application Opens: March 5, 2027
  • Application Deadline: March 17, 2027 at 11:59 PM
  • Awards Announced: April 13, 2027

The online application will automatically close at 11:59 PM on March 17. Late applications cannot be accepted.

Scholarship amounts vary each year based on available donor funding.

Applications are reviewed according to the criteria established for each scholarship and may consider financial need, academic effort, work ethic, involvement, and essay responses. Unless otherwise noted, scholarships are not automatically renewed. Students may reapply each year.

Students applying for more than one scholarship must submit a separate application and essay for each award.

Step 3: Summer Work Study Program (Optional)

Our Summer Work Study Program provides students with the opportunity to contribute to our school community while earning a grant toward tuition for the upcoming academic year.

Students work a structured schedule Monday–Thursday from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (with a morning break) during a four-week session: June 1–June 25, 2026. Students are supervised by Tolton Catholic staff, and will assist with a variety of projects that support our campus.

Students earn a tuition grant based on hours worked and demonstrated financial need. Working the full schedule (four weeks) earns up to $1,000, while partial participation (such as two weeks) earns a prorated amount. All funds are applied directly to tuition for the 2026–2027 school year—there are no direct payments to families.

Participation is limited and prioritized based on financial need, FACTS financial aid information, and application review.

This program is not only a way to reduce tuition—it is also an opportunity for students to grow in Spirit, Heart, Mind, and Body, developing responsibility, teamwork, and pride in their school community.

Student Expectations
To support a focused and productive work environment, the Summer Work Study Program is cell phone free during working hours. Students will have access to their phones for emergencies or urgent matters. Parents may contact students during the day by calling the school office, as they would during the regular school year.
