Mike Coleman is our high school chaplain. He also serves as Pastor at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia. Previously, he was pastor of St. Pius X parish in Moberly and an associate pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes. He frequently relies on his own Catholic high school education and tells everyone that he has spent his life waiting for the chance to get back into a Catholic high school. Tolton Catholic is blessed to have him. Fr. Mike has a wonderful rapport with our students and families, attends nearly every Tolton Catholic sporting event, and LOVES Cardinal baseball.

Brittany Copeland began her teaching career here at Tolton. She received her BS in Secondary Biology Education from Mizzou in 2014 and recently completed her MEd (Instructional Coaching) from Columbia College. Haydee Cullen – Praise and Worship Leader and Youth Minister
Haydee Cullen will lead Praise and Worship at Fr. Tolton Catholic High School. With a profound love for music and theology, Haydee’s journey has been one of faith, service, and artistic expression. Haydee’s academic pursuits took her to Franciscan University of Steubenville and Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned degrees in Theology and Vocal Performance. Her passion for God and music intertwined as she served on NET Ministries, including a team that served the Jefferson City Diocese. Following her service year, Haydee continued her studies at Franciscan University, deepening her understanding of theology. Later, she moved to Louisiana, where she met her husband, Josh, and homeschooled their four wonderful children. With her experience as a Director of Worship in Covington, LA, and her background in teaching private piano and voice lessons, Haydee brings a wealth of expertise to the role of Praise and Worship Leader. She enjoys gardening, singing, and sharing her love for God with others.

Michael Davis graduated from the University of Missouri with a Degree in Special Education. This is his third year in education, and he has previously taught Math and English classes. Michael teaches Junior Theology, Freshman Literature Honors, American Literature, and Modern Literature. He is pleased to be in a faith-filled environment and is excited to help students to grow in critical thinking skills and love for their Heavenly Father in both his English and Theology classes. Jeremy Diener is Tolton’s Executive Director of Development and Principal Gifts. After receiving his Bachelor of Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism, he began his career in St. Louis as a public relations professional, gaining experience at a small non-profit as well as a mid-sized, full-service marketing agency. He returned to Columbia in 2003 to join the public relations team at the University of Missouri, where he earned a Master of Public Affairs, focusing on public management and policy. At Mizzou, Jeremy transitioned to fundraising, serving 16 years in the office of corporate and foundation relations, the Missouri School of Journalism, and most recently leading a seven-member advancement team at the Robert J. Trulske, Sr. College of Business, where he served on the dean’s executive leadership team. Jeremy’s fundraising experience spans two successful campaigns of more $1 billion each. He and his family are active members of Our Lady of Lourdes parish. His wife, Leanne, teaches kindergarten at Our Lady of Lourdes Interparish School. He and Leanne have four sons. Dr. Daniel Everett

Dr. Everett serves as the school’s President and Principal. He holds a doctorate in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University and a master’s degree in philosophy from Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Everett has served in a wide variety of roles in Catholic schools, including serving as a teacher for ten years, the Vice Principal of Curriculum and Innovation of a high school, and the Head of School for a PK-8 school. As a teacher, Dr. Everett taught English, math, philosophy and theology in Catholic schools, and he is very excited to be a part of the Tolton community.

Isaac Flores will teach Science at Fr. Tolton Catholic High School. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology Education from Southeast Missouri State University, he previously taught 7th-grade Earth Science in Poplar Bluff, MO. Hailing from Southeast Missouri’s boot-heel area, he moved to Cape Girardeau for college. Outside the classroom, Isaac enjoys working out, reading, and caring for his dogs. With both parents and two older siblings in his close-knit family, he cherishes their bond. Excited to be part of a smaller school centered around the Catholic faith, Isaac’s enthusiasm and dedication promise an engaging and nurturing learning environment for students at Fr. Tolton Catholic High School.
Mr. Mark Hausam

Mark Hausam teaches Sophomore Theology as well as Theology electives. He has a BA in Theology from Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL) and a PhD in Theology from the University of Wales, Lampeter, as well as 12 years of experience teaching college Philosophy and Religion courses before coming to Tolton. He is also active in his local parish as an RCIA team member and a cantor and choir member. Mark and his wife Desiree have been married for 24 years and have nine children. Mark enjoys reading, writing, thinking about and discussing topics in philosophy, theology, and apologetics, engaging in conversations with people of different views, hiking and walking, listening to music, watching Star Trek, reading fantasy, historical fiction and science fiction novels, and spending time with his family, among other things. Scott Henderson received both his BA and MA degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has logged 15 years of experience in the classroom and currently teaches AP European History and Latin here at Tolton Catholic. Emily Horn is the instructor for Spanish 2, 3, and 4. She received her B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Linguistics from Truman State University. She also received her M.A. in Spanish from Saint Louis University and completed all her coursework toward the Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Emily has taught Spanish at the undergraduate level for ten years, 5 years each at Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She attended Catholic primary and secondary schools and loves being back in a faith-based environment. She loves cats, doing crafts, and spending time with her 3-year-old niece. Warren Johnson brings 24 years of teaching experience to Fr. Tolton Catholic High School. With a BA in Mathematics Education and an MS in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from Columbia College, William Woods University, and Lindenwood University, he’s well-prepared to inspire students. Warren is excited to teach in a high school setting, fostering students’ educational and social growth. Married for 35 years to his wife, Kim, they have three amazing grown children. Patrick Kelly is our Freshmen Government/Geography teacher and Junior US History teacher but in his time at Tolton has also taught World History, Health, P.E., Intro to Law, Current Events, and AP US History. In addition to running the House Program at Tolton, Pat Serves as the Head Track and Field Coach, the Assistant Cross Country Coach and sponsors the Key Club, Aquarium Club, and Blazer Athletics Running and Fitness (B.A.R.F.) club. Pat is a member of the inaugural faculty in 2011, coming to Tolton after earning his BS in Secondary Education and obtaining his certification in Secondary and Middle School Social Studies from the University of Missouri. Kevin Kiley teaches Sociology, Psychology, Physical Education, and Senior Theology. Kevin also serves as the Head Coach for Girls Tennis. He previously worked as a school administrator for Columbia Public Schools, Jefferson City Schools, and the Southern Boone County School District, and he arrived at Father Tolton with 25 years of experience in education. Mrs. Allison Kemble

Allison Kemble is the outreach counselor at Tolton. She spends time working with students who may be experiencing a crisis (or just needing some emotional support), as well as overseeing the accommodation program for students with learning differences. Her door is always open to any student who needs a safe place to relax, regroup, or refocus. Allison studied clinical social work at the University of Missouri, earning her BSW in 2010 and her MSW in 2012. Allison also holds an active license as a clinical social worker to provide therapy in the state of Missouri. Prior to joining the Tolton team, Allison was the supervisor of the social work and case management department at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Her passion was working with teens with both acute and chronic illnesses, and she is excited for the opportunity to work with adolescents again. Allison lives in Centralia, MO with her husband, Colin, two daughters (Evelyn – 5 and Vivian – 3), and beloved black lab, Rex. Favorite Scripture Verse: 1 Peter 5:7
Mrs. Mariquit “Marie” Klein

Marie Klein has three degrees from Truman State University: a BA in Communications Journalism, a BS in Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Education. She also completed her post-baccalaureate certification to teach secondary math education and is state certified in both Secondary Mathematics and in Special Education. She finished an additional 75 plus graduate-level credits with 46 hours of doctoral-level special education classes from Mizzou on the study and analysis of behavioral disorders among adolescents. She has taught self-contained math classes and cotaught regular ed Geometry, Integrated Math 2, Integrated Math 3, Algebra Functions and Data Analysis, and Algebra 2. She provided support for students with Asperger’s enrolled in honors Algebra 2, honors Pre-calculus, and College Algebra. She retired from Columbia Public Schools in June 2021 but decided to return to teaching. She also was a nun for over 10 years in the Philippines where she was born and raised. She teaches Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Pre-calculus, and co-teaches AP Calculus at Tolton. Favorite Scripture Verse: Isaiah 41:10

Rachel Klosterman joined Tolton Catholic HS in 2022 as our Campus Chef and Director of Dining Services. Rachel has a Culinary Arts Degree from Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO and her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. Rachel has over 25 years of food service experience ranging from K-12, higher education, and business and industry settings. Her food service career has enabled her to live and work in several cities in eight different states, but Rachel is happy to now call CoMo and Tolton home. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys gardening, DIY projects, and antiquing.

With a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Kansas State University and a Master of Education from Rockhurst University, Trevor Kocour brings a strong academic foundation to his role. Trevor’s teaching experience spans St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School, Southern Boone, and coaching positions in basketball and baseball. Hailing from Atchison, Kansas, he attended the international Catholic boarding school Maur Hill. Married to Kimmie in 2019, the couple moved to Columbia in 2020 and recently welcomed their daughter, Jersey. Embracing an active lifestyle, Trevor enjoys workouts, dog walks, and lake outings. Trevor is excited to return to a Catholic school environment, as he values the sense of community. His passion for education and athletics is a perfect fit for Tolton!

Rose Lloyd serves as the Tolton Catholic CFO and Director of Human Resources. She joined the Tolton staff in the spring of 2013. A CPA, Rose earned her BSBA in Accounting from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Immediately after college, she joined the Missouri State Auditor’s office as a staff auditor. After three years of traveling across the state, she accepted a position for Legend Automotive Group in Columbia, MO and worked there for seventeen years, resigning as the CFO, to accept an auditing/tax position at Gerding, Korte & Chitwood, CPA’s. While working at GKC, she served on the Advisory Board for Tolton Catholic. Originally from Boonville, MO, she graduated from SS Peter & Paul grade school. Mr. Martin teaches dual-credit College Composition I and II, dual-credit fiction writing, and poetry writing. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Martin has devoted his life to teaching English and writing courses to high schoolers, with ten of those years being at Helias Catholic. Prior to teaching, he earned a Master of Arts in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. When he is not teaching, he enjoys playing with his children, going on dates with his wife, playing golf, hunting, and working on his family’s farm. Shauna Maschmann has a profound love for languages and cultures. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a Minor in French from Abilene Christian University. At Tolton Catholic, Shauna will teach part-time in Spanish 1 and 2, bringing five years of experience from a French Immersion Preschool/Elementary School. Hailing from a farm near Columbia, she cherishes time spent there and indulges in traveling, photography, music, and art. Shauna shares her life with her husband, an ME Professor at Mizzou, their delightful twins (a boy and a girl), and their three cats. Brenda Neuhaus is the Administrative Assistant for Attendance and Reception. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Southwest Baptist University, she worked in the insurance industry for over 10 years. After several fulfilling years as a stay-at-home mom, she was a substitute teacher in both Kansas and Missouri. She is married to Brian and has two sons, Isaac and Max. In her spare time, she enjoys binge-watching movies and television series, watching any kind of sporting event, and playing with her dog, Poppy. Her life verse is Ephesians 2:10.

Fr. Ignitius Nimwesiga is a Missionary Priest from Uganda. He serves Tolton Catholic as a full-time Chaplain. He previously served at St. Joseph Cathedral Parish, Helias Catholic High School, and St. Anthon and St. Lawrence Parishes. He received his MA in Education Administration and Supervision from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA, and a MA in Religious and Theological Studies from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. He has plans of going back to school, to study Higher Education Leadership, possibly at Mizzou. While serving Tolton during weekdays, he also has an opportunity on weekends to drive around the Diocese filling for fellow priests. Mr. Jeremy Osborne received his BS in Sports Management from Culver-Stockton College and is the Assistant Athletic Director. Jeremy joined the Tolton Catholic staff in 2012. Brian Parks is excited to be returning to the Trailblazer family as the director of music activities this fall. This is his eleventh year in education, having previously taught at Tolton Catholic, Immaculate Conception in Jefferson City, and Macon County R-I. He holds degrees from Missouri Baptist University (Bachelor of Music Education, 2010; Educational Specialist, 2018) and the University of Missouri-Columbia (Master of Education, 2013). In addition, she enjoys service to her community in a variety of roles including being an active leader in the Girl Scouts. Chuck has taught at each of the diocesan high schools, having started his career at Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia, then teaching for 20 years at Helias before joining the Tolton Catholic team. Matt Rose is our Dual Credit/ AP World, Dual Credit/ AP US History teacher, and Dual Credit Vietnam and Contemporary American History teacher. This is his 21st year in education and has taught AP/Dual Credit for 17 years. Matt has a bachelors degree in history from Missouri S and T, a Masters in Education Administration from William Woods and a Masters in History from Missouri State with an emphasis on American History from 1941-Present and has a certification from Harvard to teach College Coursework. He loves spending time with his family (his wife, three sons, and two daughters). In addition to his family, he enjoys Cardinal baseball, traveling, reading history, true crime of the 60s-70s-80s, Star Wars/Marvel and watching really cheesy movies!!! His goal is to grow his passion for history in our students and teach them to be confident leaders with a clear context of where we’ve been and to analyze the decisions of the past and to learn about the eras their family members experienced. Laura Sasser serves as the school’s Admissions Director and Head Cheer Coach. Laura received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Illinois State University. Prior to her tenure with Tolton Catholic, she served as a Head Cheer Instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association, a Senior Account Executive for the Dallas Business Journal and an Office Manager for Mizzou Sports Properties. She and her husband Jeff have two daughters – Caroline, a 2018 graduate of Tolton, and Kate, a senior at Tolton. Tim Scherrer serves as the Tolton Catholic Dean of Academics. He received his BA and MA degrees in History from Truman State University. Prior to joining the Tolton Catholic team, he spent 12 years as an administrator at Truman State, 8 years as an assistant professor of Military Science and History at Mizzou, and 6 years as the Director of College Placement and Counseling at Missouri Military Academy. Dana Sleeth is the Executive Assistant to the Principal. After teaching math for 29 years, she retired from Columbia Public Schools in the spring of 2022. She and her husband, Brian, have been married for 24 years and have three children. Hayden is a 2021 Tolton graduate and is a sophomore at Mizzou. Logan is a freshman at Tolton, and McKenna is an 8th grader at OLLIS. Dana has a large family and loves spending time with them and with her friends. She is excited to join the Tolton staff and is enjoying getting to know all of the friendly faces in the Tolton Community.

Lonnie Tapia joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in 2013 and teaches art, photography, and design. Lonnie earned his BFA from Columbia College, with an emphasis in Graphic Design. He has an extensive background in marketing and merchandising, having served in professional roles across the US with Venture Stores, The Limited, Lane Bryant, Georgetown Leather Design, and Canadians Fur Trappers Company Fashion Group, just to name a few. He continues to run his own creative agency, Tapia Concepts, as well. Lonnie and his high school sweetheart Susan Maledy have been married for 40 years. Jill (McIntosh) Weimer, Tolton’s Vice President and Director of Advancement, received BSBA degrees in Marketing and Management from the University of Missouri’s Trulaske College of Business. She began her career in Operations Management for Sprint, then returned to Missouri to work in her family’s insurance business, where she specialized in collateral protection for banks and financial institutions. She began her advancement journey with her alma mater, MU. Within their advancement division, she served as a major gift fundraiser for the Business School, a relations manager for the College of Engineering, and most recently as Director of Annual Giving & Membership for the Mizzou Alumni Association. Upon the completion of the Chancery’s original capital campaign to build Tolton Catholic, Jill was hired to establish the school’s Columbia-based advancement office in early 2012. She continues to oversee fundraising, corporate relations, events, alumni programs, marketing and admissions for the high school.
